I like the food service they provide on the weekend. My Favorite is the homemade Menudo, They sell carnitas birria, pozole, cochinita pibil etc... during the week they have special daily dishes.

I tried a Torta of Asada, one of the best tortas I have eat so far in a while, fast service, friendly staff, tasty meat and fresh vegetables inside.

Well known business/staple in the Pilsen community, for many years. Has been recognized by WTTW "Foods of Chicago". Great spot to pick up Menudo, Carnitas, Birria, Barbacoa on Saturdays/Sunday (early arrival suggested)!!

Amazing little Mom and pops store located in pilsin. Food is amazing and inexpensive. I would highly recommend this grocery store/restaurant.

Well slap your Abuela! She needs to come over here and get some lessons from them on how to REALLY cook. Trust me... As always, I am looking for new fantastic restaurants, and stores to try out, and share with: family, friends, and on Yelp. As you walk in it seems like a common corner store, groceries in the front, meat towards the rear. When I walked to the back I had a pretty good hunch this would be a great one. The fresh smell, it was very clean, and the amazing eye catching signage. You could feel like you just walked into in a sweet little store in Mexico. When they handed me the food I ordered I knew was on the right track. When I took my first bites I smiled, and knew, I needed to share this place. I was intrigued by the Pozole Verde sign out front. I had never had it before, so I placed my order for that and zero regrets. It comes out in a quart container with a plastic wrapped foam tray with: chopped onions, cilantro, radish, shredded cabbage, and mexican oregano. I added mostly everything but went easy on the oregano. The chunks of chicken were tender and not overcooked. The hominy and vegetables were just right as well. They have this to a science and it has to be near perfect. Now to the tacos: As you often see in neighborhood grocery stores the chorizo was hanging in back above the meat counter, so a house made chorizo taco was a given. The Al Pastor was reccomend by the one of the butchers, and I had a steak taco to round it, and myself, out. All I can say is that like the pozole everything was superb. Even the salsas.. I wish I knew of this place when I worked and lived in the area. I would definitely have known everyone there by name. I still smile thinking of it, and next time I'm in that hood, I will be there. I look forward to trying out a few more menu items, and picking up some of the fresh meat. So maybe don't slap Grandma... but you should at least pick her up and take her out to lunch here. Enjoy! #AlfieEats

It's a really good store. They have various things to eat. They have some vegetables. Ohh HH, and I really recommend to get, to get menudo. It's a really small store to be honest. And the prices are really high. Like a "Naked Juice" is $3.67 , when I other stores it's at $2 .78. Or even $1.95

BTW - I just want to add that they have really good carnitas for $7 a pound. You get to pick your meat out yourself so you get what you want. I noticed the taste of garlic and I asked the owner. They do use lots of garlic and as many of you know I LOVE GARLIC. I'M HUNGRY ALREADY......

I love this place! A block over from me. My favorite Sunday spot or hungover Saturday spot LOL! You can get the menudo with the hominey in it. If you go early enough on the weekends you can get carnitas too. I like how you can also get the side with the cilantro and onion cut up for you already. Staff is friendly. Lucky to live so close to this place!

Our go to Sunday spot for menudo to cure the crudo, tamales, barbacoa, carnitas, the freshest nopales and the best Chile rellenos! Super clean, friendly, and quick. They also have green chicken pozole on Fridays, it's super spicy and delicious. They're prices are also really reasonable. Give it a try if you haven't already!

I was there Sunday for the first time and bought menudo, it's very good, but a little spicy. My husband says he prefers it without the hominy, but I liked it with hominy. They don't provide any garnishes, they sell prepackaged trays of onions, cilantro, limes and oregano for $1.00. I would definitely be back to buy menudo when I have a taste and too lazy to make it at home. I also bought tamales from the lady that's outside the store and let me tell you, they're very spicy as well. She only had red tamales left, I would like to go back and try the green ones.
